Spinneret is a Sydney-based workshop producing 100% hand-spun yarn from premium quality wools and silks, hand blended, and spun using the ancient traditional art of spindle spinning.

We spin yarn from 100% natural fibres and everything is done by hand using unpowered tools. The yarns we produce in this way are not only beautiful, but are soft, warm and durable.

We also sell an exclusive range of fibres for hand-spinning, felting etc, as well as gorgeous handmade accessories, all made from Spinneret yarn.

Our range includes Winterslo, our AFC registered, single-origin, fine Merino wool. This beautiful fleece comes from high welfare, unmulesed sheep raised at “Winterslo”, a property in central west NSW. The property is run with a meticulous approach to animal welfare and land care, ensuring the sheep - and the natural environment in which they thrive - are protected and managed to the highest standards. This approach is reflected in the top-quality fleece that the sheep produce.

Winterslo Merino has a luxurious, creamy hand feel and is wonderfully soft and warm. It is available in our online shop (and at in-person events) as easy-spin combed top, spindle-spun yarn, and handmade accessories.
